Running the River

The Clearwater Snake River Recreation Trail makes getting your exercise easy when you live at RiverPointe. Just a short distance from the entry to the development, a paved walking trail and sidewalk through the town of Asotin, Washington lead you to Chief Looking Glass Park and the beginning of this amazing system of trails developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Walk, bike, rollerblade or run four miles along the Snake River from Chief Looking Glass Park to Swallow’s Park and a busy boat launch. From here, you’ll continue under the Southway Bridge, by beaches, through parks and beneath beautiful trees to the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake rivers. Restrooms are available along the way.

If you’re feeling really adventurous, and in the market for more calorie burning, cross the Blue Bridge over to Lewiston, Idaho and continue along the Clearwater River, or turn South towards Hells Gate State Park. It’s somewhere around here that I usually call for backup to meet me for drinks or lunch and a ride back home!
